V23 provides you with advanced CAD design capabilities for editing imported files or constructing parts from beginning to end using free-form surfacing operations and solid modelling technology the easy way. From 2D geometry construction, print making and part dimensioning to model editing and complex part design, V23 is capable of helping you make edits on the fly and allowing you to meet your design requirements fast.
V23 now offers a CAM tree for creating and managing your programs. Because the system offers associative tool-path functionality you can create a complete job and make changes on the fly without having to start from the beginning. Any change to the cad drawing or machining parameters will automatically update the CAM tree including special functionality for posting. BobCAD have made vast improvements in the intuitiveness of the system allowing you the ability to build or pre-define actual machining operations and providing intelligent defaults. Now you can combine operation into features rather than have to do them separately. An example of this is drilling holes – the system will automatically centre drill and chamfer the holes as a default setting, unless you elect for it not to.
V23 has added new pocketing, profiling, and facing features, and much more. For 3D tool-path, we have added Z-level roughing & finishing, equidistant step-over contours, slice planar, and improved radial and spiral patterns, all with new lead-in and lead-out options. Optimum speeds and feeds are automatically attributed to your cam program as a default, based on the job material and the cutter and finish required. The new features are extensive.
V23 opens the door for shops small and large to be able to take advantage of the latest CAD-CAM technology.
